കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയ: ഹോം ഓഫ് ഹോപ് ( Home of Hope) 20ാം വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി വെര്‍ച്വല്‍ ഇവന്‍റ് ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 3ന് നടക്കും. അംഗവൈകല്യം സംഭവിച്ച, മാനസിക വളര്‍ച്ചയില്ലാത്ത, നിരാശ്രയരായ, സമൂഹത്തില്‍ നിന്നും തള്ളപ്പെട്ട കുട്ടികളെ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് അവരെ സമൂഹത്തിലേക്ക് കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടു വന്ന് സ്വയം പര്യാപ്തതയിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ പത്തോളജിസ്ററ് ഡോ. നീലിമ സബര്‍വാളിന്‍റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ സ്ഥാപിതമായ നോണ്‍ പ്രോഫിറ്റ് ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷനാണ് ഹോം ഓഫ് ഹോംപ്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം മാത്രം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏകദേശം 50,000 കുട്ടികളെ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് സമൂഹത്തിലേക്ക് കൈപിടിച്ചു ഉയര്‍ത്തുവാന്‍ സംഘടനയ്ക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞതായി സംഘാടകര്‍ പറയുന്നു. സംഘടന ആരംഭിച്ച് 20 വര്‍ഷത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ 265,000 കുട്ടികളുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ സമൂല പരിവര്‍ത്തനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിന് കഴിഞ്ഞതില്‍ അഭിമാനമുണ്ടെന്ന് സ്ഥാപക ഡോ. നീലിമ പറഞ്ഞു. ഇവര്‍ക്ക് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും വൊക്കേഷനല്‍ ട്രയ്നിംഗും കംപ്യൂട്ടര്‍ പരിശീലനവും നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മൊബൈല്‍ ലൈബ്രറികളിലൂടെ 23,000 കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് പഠനത്തിനാവശ്യമായ പുസ്തകങ്ങളും ബധിരരായ 1877 കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് സൈന്‍ ലാഗ്വേജും പരിശീലനവും നല്‍കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞതായും കോവിഡ് മഹാമാരി ആരംഭിച്ച ശേഷം അഭ്യുദയകാംഷികള്‍ നല്‍കിയ സംഭാവന ഉപയോഗിച്ചു 317410 പേര്‍ക്ക് 326200 കിലോ ഭക്ഷണ പദാര്‍ഥങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതിനും സംഘടനക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞതായും ഡോ. നീലിമ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 3ന് നടക്കുന്ന വെര്‍ച്വല്‍ ഇവന്‍റില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നതിന്
