Farewell to Mr Ram Singh
The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) organised a farewell party for Mr Ram Singh, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy who is preparing to leave the country by the end of this month. He is retiring from the civil service and planning to return to his hometown Gurgaon in India. He has lived in Bahrain for the last three years. H.E. Mr Alok Kumar Sinha, The Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain was the Chief Guest of the event which was held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel on Sunday, 24 April 2016.

Mr Ram Singh, who came to Bahrain in July 2013 as the First Secretary to Bahrain, has been very active among the Indian community.
He is easily accessible to the people who come to the embassy with grievances and very passionate in helping people. He has been the regular face of the open houses held at the Embassy for the last three years.

Mr Ram Singh handled the Indian community welfare in the Kingdom of Bahrain very efficiently. He used to visit labour camps and attend medical camps organised by various Indian community societies especially ICRF.

Mr Ram Singh has had a long and fulfilling diplomatic career spanning 35 years in a number of important positions. He has served in Indian Missions to Afghanistan, Canada, Tanzania and Germany. Before being assigned to the Embassy of India in Bahrain, he served as the First Secretary in the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan.

Mr Ram Singh is accompanied by his wife Mrs Rameshwari. He has two daughters who are well settled in India. His interests include reading, travelling and meeting people.
