To commemorate the 66th Republic Day of India, Kerala Catholic Association is organizing the 5th INDIA QUIZ 2015. It will be held today at 7.30 pm at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam on 4th Feb 2015. 70 teams are registered. Those who wished to participate they can register at the venue. Elimination round will start at 6.30 pm.
Eminent Quiz master Mr. A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, a senior Indian Administrative Service Officer will be conducting the show and expected to attract huge crowd to the event. Mr. Hanish IAS a very familiar face to the Quiz Buffs of Bahrain as he was the Quiz master for the previous three editions of the India Quiz.
The India Quiz 2015 is extremely special because the winners will be recognized and awarded on the memorable presence of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India and a recipient of Bharat Ratna, highest civilian Award by the Government of India. This would be the one and only opportunity for the Quiz enthusiast to test their knowledge and skills to win the coveted award from the one and only Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
The Event Presenter is Zayani Motors and Title Sponsor is Lulu. The event is powered by Viva Bahrain, Event sponsor is Dubai Diamond and Gold. The Gold Sponsors are State Bank of India, New India Assurance Company, 21st Fashion Century, Trans Auto Car Rental and UAE Exchange.
Conduct of the Quiz
This unique India Quiz competition is open to all and such as Schools, Colleges, Universities, Private or Public Sector Companies, Organizations, Social Associations or Individual teams can participate. More than 200 teams from around Bahrain are expected to participate in the preliminaries of the 5th India Quiz.
Each team will have 3 members, with one adult (above age 18) and one student (under age 18) and the third member can be an adult or student. The Quiz will cover any subject related to INDIA, so as to enable the participants to learn and appreciate their mother land.
Qualifying Round:
There will be a qualifying written round on Wednesday 4th, February 2015 at 06.30 pm at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam and the top 6 teams will move into the finals which will start by 8.00PM.
Prizes:
1. First prize will consist of, Rolling trophy. 3 individual trophies, certificates, and a cash prize of USD 1,000
2. Second prize will consist of 3 individual trophies, certificates, and a cash prize of USD 500.
3. Third prize will consist of 3 individual trophies, certificates, and a cash prize of USD 300.
Participation Certificate will be issued to all the participants signed by Mr. Mohammed Hanish I.A.S and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on a later date.
Registration forms for India Quiz 2015 are available at KCA Office. Teams can register the names at KCA Office by 1st Feb 2015 or send email to quizindiabahrain@gmail.com with the prescribed form available at KCA Website ( www.kcabahrain.com ). The registration fee is BD 10/ per team which shall be collected during the registration process before the preliminary qualifying round.
